The app architecture

Architecture is necessary to understand and explain application structure with its complexity. It's one of most important ways to communicate with backend team. Especially if backend team works 700 km away.

The app architecture

Architecture is necessary to understand and explain application structure with its complexity. It's one of the most important ways to communicate with backend team. Especially if backend team works 700km away - in this case remote work was inevitable. Final result also shows that our augmented team was the best choice in that kind of project.

4 steps to book a boat

Wireframes are great way to show app features and the way of user from beginning to booking a yacht. It’s the best solution to explain logic and features for backend developers team.

Eres Yachting Step 1
Step 1
Time and location

Using a search bar on the homepage allows user to find a boat in defined location and time. It’s the first step to narrow the results from base with 14 000 boats.

Eres Yachting Step 2
Step 2
Advanced filtering

Initially limited number of results could be filtered precisely by using 10 different criteria to deliver result accurately suited for user expectations.

Step 3
Choosing a yacht

Now user can choose a yacht from filtered list. To ease a choose, every offer shows prices from weeks before and after desired date.

Eres Yachting Step 3
Step 4

Filters - art of narrowing

BoatBooker platform delivers above 14 000 boats of different kind, price, location and many other features. One of the most important things in that case was to design clear and easy to use filtering interface for mobile devices.

Regular review and planning

Multidirectional communication

Communication, in that case, was very demanding and had to be very systematic and precise. We had more than 20 meetings and wrote hundreds of basecamp posts to keep a good pace of process and compatibility with guidelines.

aspects of design

Sail through premium design

Idea of providing charter services online was a great opportunity to create something unique. Making a top quality responsive design with keeping best UX standards was our goal in this case. We have to create fresh and consistent design with clients brand identity. It wasn't easy, but we made it works!

It's all about feelings

Sailing is strictly related to feelings and experiences, so we had to create unique graphic design constantly referring to it. To achieve it we used many high quality marine photos and details. We also decided to create specific color palette, completely different than clients competitors. These decisions resulted in a completely fresh and attractive graphic style.

Who is our Product Persona?

It is essential in site creating process, to know who we design for. From the very beginning we were fully aware of our user. In few words, he was a quite rich man after 40 with family and love for traveling, sailing and nature. Knowing that, we could create something suited just for him.

Product Persona

How does the premium taste?

The nature of sailing tempted us to use more sporty elements but because of our target keeping consistent, premium look of design was one of our main goals. Using classy light fonts, toned colors and elegant details has enabled us to obtain desired effect. Another very important thing was use of specific language suited for the user. For example avoiding connotations with cheapness.
